Jerry Stuart is descended from pioneer California families and moved to Yuma in 1976 after retiring as Head of Acquisitions for the Huntington Library in San Marino, California. He married Lenore Lorona in 1981, and together they operated several retail stores until 2000 when Lenore was elected to the Yuma County Board of Supervisors. Mr. Stuart served as Yuma City Councilman in 1991-19965 with a tern as Deputy Mayor, and served again in 2011-2015. He holds a Master’s Degree from University of California, Berkeley and was elected to Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Beta Kappa. He has been listed in various Who’s Who including Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in the World.
