Alicia Franco
Alicia E. Franco is a third generation Yuma native with roots tracing back to 1874. She is married and has a daughter. For many years, she has been involved in several local non-profit organizations and committees, including the Yuma County Victims’ Rights Committee and Relay for Life. She was first drawn to the Yuma Library Foundation because books have always been an integral part of her life. In her youth, she spent summers visiting the Library, happily able to read an average of four books per week.
Knowing the fundamental necessity for public libraries in a community, her devotion to the Yuma Library Foundation was inevitable. “Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body.” (Joseph Addison)
