It seems that I’ve spent much of my life in libraries, starting in the children’s section where abridged, illustrated copies of the Iliad and Odyssey caught my imagination. I remember the first book I checked out from the adult section: The Sands of Mars by Arthur C. Clarke.
For the past 25 years, I have taught English at Arizona Western College: mostly Freshman Comp, but also Science Fiction and Literature of the Bible. I’m currently retired, but continue to teach ENG 101 and Bible Lit.
Obviously, I enjoy reading. I’m particularly interested in theology/philosophy and the Civil War. I’m happy to serve on the Yuma Library Heritage Board.
